Great 48 Birthday Date

With morning coffee I read Psalms 23 and upon those words I did meditate.

I asked the Lord to please join me this day and help me to celebrate.

Because I wasn’t quite sure what to do with myself, on the very first day of being 48.

But you know how He is…., He knows our pace…, He knows what we can take.

So this is how it went down….., the Lord and me…., on a Birthday date…..

The next thing on my list that I just had to get done, was a quick 3 mile run.

I wanted to go early, to beat the hot sun.

Around Starbucks circle I went, just for fun.

Then down to city office, for paperwork still undone.

It took so long…., that was no fun.

Then off to Bible Study because my friends had called me to come.

I was super late and missed some of their fun  (ok, ok, I missed all of it )

But look at the cake that they made me! Yum-Yum!

After we ate, to my house they did come.

About the Lord we did chum-chum-chum

Because if you remember…., I had also invited Him to come

When it got late…, my friends had to go….

But the Lord hung around, because He never leaves me alone…

We drove to the gym and reopened my membership so…..

I could spin on this cool bike an hour or mo….

I have so many friends who 'spin' I felt I had to give it a try.

I then started miss’in my son, Mighty Tim-bo

He was busy playing soccer with his team, don’t cha know

I went to school and watched all his cool moves, and like any proud mom, took tons of photos

I just sat there and watched him, just me and the Lord.

Timmy is fast and he is strong and for that I will always give God praise.

We had a great date…, and now that it’s late…., all I can say is thanks for 48. I am humbled by God’s goodness. I’m alive by His Grace. He lets me run. He lets me rise. He lets me fall. He loves me through it all.

The sun was setting over the soccer field during practice. My B-day is now done.
